RESTORE TRUCK DRIVER/RESTORE SALES ASSOCIATE
Position in  Kailua Kona, Hawaii
Full Time, up to 40 Hours per week

Purpose
The ReStore Truck Drivers are our ambassadors in the community and interact with donors and potential customers. 

Reports to ReStore Assistant Manager & ReStore Manager
 
Responsibilities
The ReStore Truck Drivers are responsible for picking up and unloading donations for the ReStore in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner. They work closely with the ReStore staff to ensure donations are placed and ready for processing.  They also maintain the ReStore trucks and equipment to optimum condition.  When there is no pickup scheduled, they will assist ReStore Sales Associates.
 
Pick-up and Unloading of Donations

• Coordinate with ReStore Manager/Assistant Manager on the weekly pickup schedule
• Communicate status of pick-ups to customers and ReStore Staff
• Record and maintain donation receipt slips
• Help to load, strap downloads, and safely transport merchandise
• Get the items into the truck and out to stores without damage

 
In Store (when there are no pick-ups scheduled)

• Greet customers & respond to questions
• Accept donations and provide receiving form to donors; put donations in the designated prep area
• Prep merchandise for the sales floor, organize ReStore shelves, and help set up displays
• Assist in pricing and inventory
• Keep the warehouse and surrounding areas neat and orderly 

 
Truck Maintenance

• Schedule maintenance for ReStore vehicle(s). Report any deficiencies to the Store Manager
• Complete truck inspections: Check fluids, tires, for all vehicles and report to the ReStore Manager
• Clean/wash truck as needed

  
Job Requirements

• Maintain a clean driving abstract
• Good customer service & communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Show initiative/work independently
• Cash handling experience and skills
• Strong reading, writing, verbal, and arithmetic skills
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must maintain reliable and stable work schedules with some flexibility Able to safely operate forklift, automatic truck lift/gate, dollies, movable carts, and other equipment/tools to move heavier items

 
Qualifications

• Valid US driver's license and clean driving abstract

• High school degree or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Knowledgeable in building supply materials preferred

 
Work Experience

• One year in retail or transport is preferred

 
Physical Requirements

• Ability to spend most of the day standing or moving about the store
• Ability to lift 50 lbs multiple times daily
